📍Context

One of my client salons, located in a competitive Tokyo neighborhood, was struggling with low customer acquisition and retention in a saturated market. They lacked a clear brand identity and compelling value proposition, which made it hard to attract new visitors and keep them coming back.

I also worked closely with both the salon's internal team (owner and staff) and my own sales/account team to align business goals, user needs, and creative direction across all touchpoints.

Mapping the competitive landscape clarified where the salon could differentiate.
